I've Been Tagged by Sue

So I am supposed to tell you 7 things that you don't know about me. 1. I used to have my tongue pierced, yep, I have pictures to prove it. 2. I have been at the same job for over 1/2 of my life. 3. I don't know if I can make it through the Fun Walk at the Race for the Cure, but I am signed up and gonna try!!! 4. I am the oldest of 10 grandkids and until September the only one to have a kid of their own. (Can you tell I'm grasping for straws??) 5. I used to be a race official for the MARA Midgets (nothing like bossing around a bunch of guys!!) 6. I love to learn new things 7. I am a Chocolate-a-holic (Yes Weight Watchers has chocolate!!!) Let's see I'll tag Tammy, Christine, Theresa, Tautchia, Kathy Romack, MaryJo, , Special K . Do you guys really read this blog? Most of the time I think I am rambling to myself. :D

Oh yeah, I just joined Carolina Sue's Crew!!! I'll be there to WALK for the Cure. I don't run. Ever. heh.

April Challenge LO

I put together the challenges on Tammy's site http://www.heartinhandscrap.com so I thought I would put one together. It was the inspiration in my challenge this month.

So the challenge was to use cardstock (no patterned paper), flowers, stamps and chipboard. Sorry for the glare on the photo. It is one of few and the best of when I was pregnant with Reed.

Race for the Cure

The Race for the Cure is coming on June 16th. Registration is open. Last year I slept in for a cure, that was so easy, LOL. This year I hope to join some of my fellow FKSers to support this wonderful event. Check it out, even if you can't make it you can alwasy Sleep In!!

April FKS DT

I got to play with a new paper line called Paper Elements this month. It is a really playful line, with coordinating colors on the back side and also the best part, on the paper strip at the bottom they tell you what colors of Bazzill are made to match. Check out Paper Elements in the store, they have some adorable rubons too!!
Reed found this beetle walking alond the sidewalk in the backyard. He cracked me up when he said what a cute bug it was. He talked about it for days.

I LOVE this moon and rocket ship (so does Reed) So I wanted to make it the focal point of my layout. So I added a mini book with some of Paper Elements cardstock stickers and some Scenic Route rubons.

A little help from your friends...

There is a family in the scrapbooking community who needs our help. Jen Gallacher (I'm sure you have seen her layouts in several magazines) and her family are dealing with the hardship. Joey, their 12 year old son has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Tania Willis has started a paypal account and a blog for the family. They have a long road ahead of them. You can read about them on the 2Peas board or the blog site is http://www.benefitforjen.blogspot.com/ . It is amazing how someone that doesn't even know you can make such a change in your life. Almost $10,000 has been raised for this family. And as some of us learned from Ali Edward's fund raiser for Autism Speaks, it takes one person to tell one person .... So take a minute if you could and help support Jen and tell one person. You can make a difference.

Weight Watchers

So today I took the plunge. With Tammy and Christine by my side, we all joined the infamous WW. I have positive thoughts about all this, so hopefully it will be GREAT!! Send me your good vibes and wish me luck!

A Post a Day

There is a challenge for the ladies on the Design Team and the Instructors to post to your blog atleast once a day. Starting today. Soooo let's see if I can pull this off!! I'm going to upload some pics that my friend Tautchia sent from the Pub Dinner. I hope to have my pics by the weekend.

The new and improved scraproom

Art and I went and picked up the countertop and cabinets today and he was sweet enough to put them in for me today. (That was after he built Reed a new sandbox.) So I hurried up and took pictures before I made it a mess, LOL.

CKC was a BLAST, I have the blisters to prove it! Saw lots of stuff to put on my Christmas list, LOL, and met lots of really great people.

Thank you to the ladies that came to the Pub Dinner, it was sooo much fun. And Jesus made it all that much more fun!!

So Sorry

Things have been crazy, trying to get DT things done for CK Convention. Then putting together the Pub Dinner and all the goodie bags, spilling boiling water on myself, oh yeah did I mention my 10-15 page research paper?
One word around here.. BUSY!
Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. CKC is this weekend should be LOADS of fun.
